Accelerating London’s fiber rollout
G.Network, a telecommunications company based in London, UK, provides full-fiber broadband services to homes and businesses across the city. The infrastructure upgrade carried out by G.Network will bring essential economic and social benefits to the area, enabling business to thrive and residents to be better connected to one another.

Company: G.Network
Industry: Telecom
Location: London, UK
Products used: 3-GIS | Web
Key challenge: Incomplete data across multiple systems
Key outcome: Consolidated visibility, faster installs, and less manual work
Challenge
G.Network is expanding its network to reach more areas of the city. As a result, the planning and design teams have been tasked with managing large amounts of information and critical data, used to aid decision-making and identify existing civil infrastructure. This is made more complex with the addition of external data received from third parties supporting the network construction phase.
Problem
G.Network began to experience the limitations of its existing physical network inventory solution, as various
sources of data and no method of validation caused incomplete and out of date information which then required manual reconciliation across multiple systems.
We chose 3-GIS because we are continuing to invest and extend our network and, put simply, speed matters. We reviewed the market, and the 3-GIS products are the best and the fastest.
Solution
G.Network selected 3-GIS | Web as its system of record, giving teams the flexibility, access, and control required to fully support the network expansion.
Why they chose 3-GIS
- Esri foundation
- Single system of record
- Scalability
- Futureproofing systems
- Data validity
Results
With 3-GIS | Web, G.Network now has a clear and consolidated view across all its data,
allowing teams to:
- Continue working within an Esri-based platform
- Work more efficiently while eliminating manual processes
- Use a single database to document as-built plans
- Maintain a single system of record for asset registry
- Double install rates without increasing crew size
As part of its future strategy, G.Network plans to deploy 3-GIS | Web at the center of its
business systems, creating full visibility across departments and teams.
