WHAT IS CHAMELEON? Field Express Chameleon® is the latest innovative solution to provide the right data at the right place at the right time in a user format easy to adopt, use, and understand. Just as a real chameleon can change its colors to match its environment, Field Express Chameleon® can change its graphical user interface (GUI) to match the job at hand. Whether it is facility inspection, leak detection, staking, truck routing, or DSL qualification, Field Express Chameleon® makes complex work flows simple and intuitive. By virtue of job-type, Field Express Chameleon® reconfigures itself based on the task to provide menu buttons that are germane to the effort and devoid of unused or confusing menu choices. These selections are, of course, configurable by the administrator of the Express Server to evolve with the technician, task, or technology. Field Express Chameleon natively presents ESRI-based spatial data to the user. Data stored in ESRI's ArcSDE, shape files, coverage files, or other standard formats can be directly published without complicated data preparation or massaging. Built from ESRI's ArcGIS Server and Mobile ADF Technology, Field Express Chameleon is one of the first products developed on ESRI's ArcGIS 9.2 technology.
